Making Room

Out to dinner tonight. We were all eating an appetizer. I had eaten a lot of chips, so I mentioned, "No more chips for me. I have to make room for dinner." Xander said, "Me too" and immediately moved his drink aside, pushed back the dish of chips, and slid his napkin towards me, thus "making room for his dinner".
